Hi everyone 👋🏾 It’s Jade here 😁 Most of you have seen me around in school. My job is to support emotional wellbeing and mental health- which means I try to help people feel happier and calmer. I know this has been a bit of a worrying time for us all, so I thought we could try an activity together 🤔😃 I know when things get tough, sometimes our thoughts get really sad and upsetting. This activity is all about encouraging ourselves to focus on positive things. If we are thinking about happier things, we will feel happier too! 😀👍🏾 Draw a self portrait in the middle of a page (I bet yours will be better than mine 🤦🏾♀️😆). Then all around I want you to write down things that have made you smile, or feel calmer, or feel a bit happier. You might write down happy memories with friends that cheer you up when you miss them👭👬 You could write about things you have been doing to stay active and keep busy 🏃🏾♂️⚽️🏏🛹🚴♂️
Make a note of someone you trust who you can talk to if you feel worried, and things you can do to feel calm 🧘🏾♀️ Each day you can add something else that went well and helped you feel a bit better, or something really fun! I would love to see your pictures 😁 if you send them to the school email- I’m sure Mrs Grennan will send them to me so that I can see 😊 🌈 You are all doing so well, and we are very proud of you all! Keep learning, keep safe, and keep having fun! 🌈
