PE & Sports at St Luke's

August 22, 2018

PE & Sports is an important and vital aspect of life at St Luke’s. We have a designated Sports & PE lead in our school, Mrs Kirk, who along with her PE & Sports team, coordinates PE & Sports in our school. This has resulted in our school working our way through the School Games Mark and achieving the Gold award which we are very proud of. School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme which aims to reward schools for their commitment to the development of sport and competition across their school and into the community.

At St Luke’s, PE & Sport is a high priority both within the curriculum and also, through extra-curricular activities. We are very proud that we have lots of different sports after-school clubs which include football, netball, cricket, athletics, running, multiskills, dance, karate, basketball, gymnastics, badminton. In addition, we also participate in a range of sporting competitions and events organised by WASPS and PASS; we have an annual Sports & Health week and we also have extremely strong links with Wolves FC through Wolves Foundation partnership (previously Wolves Community Trust) who work with our school each week throughout the year.
