Book Bus driver sends his thanks

It is always wonderful to receive feedback from any visitors who have been to St Luke's. I was so pleased to receive this email following our visit from The Bookbus!

I am the Book bus driver from yesterday and I just wanted to take the time to say how much I enjoyed the day. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and I come away with nothing but positive thoughts about St Luke's. The children were amazing. Without exception they were friendly and polite and with a wonderful quiet confidence. For such young people the conversations I had were fantastic. Whatever journey awaits them in life they are so well prepared.

The staff were so helpful and work had obviously been done beforehand in preparation as the system seemed to run flawlessly. Everyone was so welcoming and ever so helpful to me. Please pass on my thanks!

And finally can I say a thank you to the parents. They probably get forgotten, but they seemed so supportive and nourishing for their children. Obviously they were willing to dig deep for their kids, £1776 I believe was the amount taken - a record for me, but the way they talked to each other and helped each other out was wonderful to see.

From the little I saw of your school I was hugely impressed and I wish you all well for the future. I hope you'll invite the Bookbus back, and I hope it will be me driving it.

I was shattered by the time I got home, but had a huge smile on my face.
